As part of the preparations for the "Chavez Was Here" World Day, the Venezuelan Embassy in the United States has launched an official Facebook page and Twitter account which will announce the activities taking place in February, March and April to promote and commemorate President Hugo Chávez’s global legacy of solidarity with peoples’ struggles, as well as his political, economic and social achievements.
Events will take place in different embassies worldwide and social movements, political parties, trade unions, intellectuals, artists, athletes and activists from five continents are have been convoked to participate in this global effort to honor Chavez.
From the city of La Paz, the capital of Bolivia , the launch of the World Day was held with the participation of the Venezuela Ambassador in that country , Cris Gonzalez, who presided over the activity on behalf of the Bolivarian Government and shared experiences with the likes of Hugo Moldiz , a member of the Network of Intellectuals and Artists in Defense of Humanity in Bolivia , who said that "the crisis of capitalism has moved from a unipolar world to a multipolar world, precisely because Latin America and that would not have been possible without Chávez " .
