The government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela has created a new website called “Venezuela and the world write to Chávez,” which allows users from Venezuela and any other country to write messages that can be viewed and shared. A section of highlighted messages includes notes written by the close friends and family members of the president, including his daughter María Gabriela Chávez.
Users can write their message and then share it on social networks. They may include text as well as images, video and audio. The page can be found at www.chavez.org.ve.
For its part, the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the U.S. has created a special section on its website in homage to the president and leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, whose passing on March 5 initiated a period of profound national mourning. The section highlights the ways in which President Chávez remains alive through the love he encouraged others to have for their fellow man and through the voices of the many individuals and organizations that expressed their condolences and support for the Venezuelan people.
