The government of Alvaro Uribe has publicly assumed an unacceptable posture before the legal and substantiated denunciations of the government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, regarding the uncovering of an espionage operation against Venezuela.
Once again, the current Colombian government pretends to be the victim in a case that involves a group of people captured red-handed with evidence of espionage that threatens our homeland. This is a maneuver to divert attention away from the seriousness of the facts that demonstrate constant action by conspiratorial groups against the peace and security of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
The statements issued by Alvaro Uribe are an attempt to undermine in the long run, any possible path to restore normal relations with Venezuela. Not satisfied with destroying the political, diplomatic and commercial relations between Venezuela and Colombia, he now seeks to force his successor in office to assume this sad legacy.
The government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela ratifies its denunciations and will continue its adherence to the Constitution with the strictest respect for legality, in defense of peace, security and sovereignty for our country.
