Venezuela’s international currency reserves are at $34.5 billion, announced Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez Frias, during his Sunday program Alo Presidente.
Chavez stated that when he left for his tour of Africa and Europe, international reserves were at $31 billion, and upon his return two weeks later, they were at $34.5 billion.
“This is a leap, and it will continue growing, despite the global crisis. I said it last year, the crisis will affect us all, but Venezuela is better condition to confront it,” added Chavez.
