National Police will be active in December
The National Police will begin working in December in the central part of the country, so they can later extend to the rest of the Venezuelan territory, as announced by the Minister of People Power for Interior and Justice, Tarek el Aissami.
This information was given during the fifth Police General Council in the Eladio Price auditorium of Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), in the Barinas State.
The Minister highlighted that the Constitutional Law of Police Service y the National Police Corps promote a program for basic college education.
“We must specify a process of transformation, so the police abide the Venezuelan constitutional law” el Aissami, said.
“We need to thrust change, if not any kind of effort will be threatened; the police is required to turn into an institution at the service of the people” The Minister of Interior and Justice, stated.
The Minister also mentioned that it is necessary that police officers gain a conscience, abandon the repressive and reactive attitude, so they can have a solely preventive duty. “A police officer is a social servant that must act to prevent the causes that could generate violence.”
