From the airport in Maiquetia the Minister of People´s Power for the Interior and Justice, Tareck El Aissami announced today the deportation of Colombian drug trafficker Carlos Javier Blanco Parra.
Blanco Parra, known as the "the Merchant," was arrested by the Scientific, Penal and Criminal Investigative Body (CICPC) officials of Carabobo.
The drug trafficker is wanted by the Seventh Circuit Penal Court of Bogota for money laundering and joint criminal enterprise.
Blanco Parra represented a brokerage firm and obtained stocks with revenues from illicit drug trafficking.
The minister stated that so far this year 10 criminals have been deported, "it can be said that the Bolivarian government of President Chavez has obtained positive results in this battlefront."
