The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez, announced that citizen Lina Ron is in custody for her alleged participation in an incident occurred on Monday at the facilities of television channel Globovision, located in Caracas.
The head of state declared that acts like those at Globovision cannot be tolerated and emphasized that he will not help anyone that hurts the revolution and breaks the law. “For example, I have been making appeals to Lina Ron for some time. Ron hurts the revolution. Her behavior only help the enemy,” he expressed.
The president announced that Ron appeared Tuesday before the attorney general and is currently in custody. “Ron violated the Law and has to pay the penalty. She must be punished, as it was a deplorable act.” He expressed that the events that occurred on Monday at Globovision cannot be permitted in the revolution.
“She is in custody. Acts such as this cannot be tolerated from anyone, whether they be opposition or revolutionary,” he stated.
