Once the Law of Insurance Activities is approved, senior citizens, the disabled and those with terminal illnesses will be able to enjoy the services of insurance companies.
National Assembly Representative Germán Ferrer explained the bill in the state-television, VTV. During the program, Ferrer indicated that under the current rules, insurance companies are able to deny coverage to people who are over 60 years of age.
"Insurance service should have social criteria that are adapted to the socialist transformation in this country," stated the Venezuelan lawmaker.
Ferrer said that Venezuelans can trust in the National Assembly "and be assured that the problems with insurance companies will be resolved."
