The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Hugo Chávez, affirmed that private property in Venezuela is fully guaranteed. He repeated that the revolutionary government has made innumerable efforts to give property titles to Venezuelans for their lands and dwellings.
“We are giving property titles. We want that everybody has property,” reiterated President Chávez.
Chávez emphasized that “the Revolution guarantees social ownership of the means of production and personal and familial ownership of private property. We want all families to own their land and their home.”
He then referred to the integral development of the country and the necessity of continuing on the path of production diversification and capacity-building of human resources.
“Venezuela has to leave behind the model of mono-production of oil. This was a curse. We will achieve this through work, ability, organization and technology,” stated the president.
