Salvador de Bahia, Brazil, May 26 ABN (Yesenia Chapeta special report) – Arriving at the airport in Salvador the capital of Bahia State, Brazil, the president of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez Frias, confirmed that the planned agreements with Brazilian president Luiz Lula Inacio da Silva would include construction of housing, technological cooperation and petrochemical industries, among the principle topics.
Chavez arrived in Salvador at around 5:30 in the morning this Wednesday (local time), with the purpose of initiating the working agenda that was scheduled for the second round of talks with Lula this year.
Chavez reiterated that the most important of these meetings is the advance in regional integration driven by Latin American leaders.
The two presidents will have a private meeting and a public one, both in the Hotel Pestana de Salvador, after which they will have press conference to release the details of the signs agreements.
Since 2007, Chavez and Lula have held quarterly meeting to examine the progress of signed agreements and to set new ones.
The last of these meeting took place in Zulia state, in the west of Venezuela, on the 16th of January.
