The General Comptroller of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Clodosvaldo Russian said this Tuesday that the private media have full liberty of expression.
During the VTV program “Venezuela Awoke”, Russian stated that previous Venezuelan governments there were severe limitations on information.
“Never have I seen a similar situation in Venezuela like the one we have today. Today’s media is politically belligerent, it acts like a political party, and it has not been sanctioned,” emphasized Russian.
Likewise, the comptroller stated that the information transmitted currently in some private media distorts the reality of Venezuela. Russian underscored the fact that the Bolivarian Constitution guarantees the fullest freedom of expression.
“Neither in Venezuela nor in the rest of the world are there absolute freedoms, absolute rights. My rights end where the rights of another person begin. In Venezuela, we must follow the rules,” added Russian.
