On Tuesday morning, four people suspected of being involved in the attack on a Caracas synagogue were arrested, reported Wilmer Flores Trosel, Director of the Corps for Scientific, Penal and Criminal Investigations.
“We have four identified suspects who are involved in the case. They are civilians involved in common crimes,” he indicated.
Flores Trosel also noted that another two suspects are scheduled to be arrested within the next 24 hours. The Robbery and Counter-terrorism Divisions of the CICPC are working on this.
Director Flores Trosel said that the robbery was the motive of the crime. Nevertheless, he did not discard the possibility of an alternative hypothesis.
“We are searching for suspects that can lead us to fully uncover the motive for what happened in the synagogue, although we know that the one who planned this terrorist act was a citizen who worked as the rabbi’s escort in complicity with police agents,” he expressed.
