Certificate of Use for Personal Items
You can bring to Venezuela any personal household items, such as furniture,
electric artefacts, electronic devices, and other belongings as long as
they are at least 6 months old, and that the owner has been living for
at least one year in any of the states under the jurisdiction of the Venezuelan
Consulate in New York.
You must:
- Bring the Certificate of Use to the Consulate, notarized and signed
by the county clerk of the county where you reside. Don't forget to
include the total number of baggage.
- Include a list of the belongings you wish to bring with you (Manuscripts
are not acceptable.)
- Photocopies of the Venezuelan passport or foreign passport for those
who reside in Venezuela, which shows identification, the American Visa,
residents visa, and stamps of arrivals and departures from the United
States. Please bring your original green card and a copy.
- Banker's draft or a money order for $70.00 made out to CONSULADO GENERAL
DE VENEZUELA. Personal checks or cash are not accepted. If you include
your vehicle as a personal item you must pay $70.00 for two Certificates
of Use.
