Venezuela congratulates Brazil on 192 anniversary of its independence

In a communique released by the foreign ministry last Sunday, Venezuela congratulated Brazil in the 192nd anniversary of the Cry of Ipiranga, “event that marked the beginning of the independence process in the Amazon country, on September 07 1822.”

The Bolivarian Government reaffirmed thus its bonds of fraternity with the Brazilian people and government.

Following, the complete text released by the Venezuelan foreign ministry:

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro Moros, on behalf of his Administration and Venezuelan People, conveys his most fraternal words of congratulations to President Dilma Rousseff and People of the Federative Republic of Brazil, on the occasion of the 192 Anniversary of the Cry of Ipiranga, event that marked the beginning of the independence process in the Amazon country, on September 07 1822.

The Bolivarian Government conveys a warm recognition to the Brazilian People’s profound democratic vocation and institutional soundness of the sister country, marked by respect to human dignity and the great cultural and ethnic diversity that shape their national identity.

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela reaffirms its firm commitment to continue consolidating strategies of binational cooperation with the government of the Federative Republic of Brazil, with a view to fostering social inclusion and developing schemes of regional integration in Latin America and the Caribbean.
