The Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs, Elías Jaua, is currently on a trip to several European countries to present a report to international agencies that outlines and condemns violations of fundamental human rights of the Venezuelan people, such as education, health care, the environment and life, by opposition groups.
A document the Foreign Minister presented to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) shows evidence of violent acts by fascist groups in Venezuela and reports that the National Government has acted in accordance with the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in order to defend the integrity of the country.
“This document will present the truth about these violent protests and their aims of overthrowing a constitutional and legitimate government established through democratic and electoral means, and it will show the world how the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela has responded in order to guarantee human rights to their citizens in the face of these violent acts,” reads part of the introduction to the text.
