On Wednesday, November 25 the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela filed a request with the UN Security Council asking that the body study the ongoing armed conflict in Colombia. The conflict poses a serious threat to international peace and stability, a situation that has been exacerbated by the installation of seven U.S. military bases in Colombian territory, stated Caracas.
